Galerie May by Maylis & Charles Tassin

Maylis, a painter, and Charles, an interior architect, met in 2008 and founded the gallery a few years later to exhibit their creations as well as those of other artists.

Each piece in the collection recaptures the distinctive character of French elegance, the famous ‘French touch’ characteristic of our art of living.

In a decade dedicated to promoting French craftsmanship, the designer couple have won over an international clientele.

Maylis and Charles set up gallery in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés, where they display their exclusive 60 pieces collection of art furniture, inspired from the 40’s to the 70’s.

When Maylis and Charles imagined the first pieces in the collection, they wanted to break away from the contemporary trend while creating pieces that could fit in with the different projects of interior designers.

The gallery quickly becomes known worldwide thanks to pieces that subtly convey the French elegance.

The collections created by Maylis and Charles Tassin reject minimalism; each piece exhibits a deliberate opulence in its attention to detail, combined with a neo-classical rigor. Their designs blend masculine and feminine, curves and straight lines, purity and boldness.

French craftsmanship lies at the heart of their work. They maintain a close collaboration with French artisans who bring their ideas to life.
