SUMMARY:MODERNIST ARCHITECTURE
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a one-day excursion outside of Paris\, dedicated to exploring the modernist architectural heritage. \nFirst\, we will visit the Maison Louis Carré\, a residential building in the south-west of Paris\, designed by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto for art collectors. This remarkable structure showcases Aalto’s distinctive style and approach. We will have the opportunity to explore its unique features and appreciate its architectural significance during a private guided tour in english exclusively for our group. \nNext on our itinerary is the Villa Savoye in Poissy – a modernist manifesto by Le Corbusier. This iconic building is the last in Le Corbusier’s white villa cycle and perfectly encapsulates the Modernist architectural vocabulary. Abandoned\, it was restored by the French state from 1963 to 1997. It was listed as a historic monument in 1964 when Le Corbusier was still alive\, an extraordinarily rare occurrence. \nBetween the 2 visits\, we will take the time for a gastronomic break and have lunch in the former hunting lodge of Louis XIV in the heart of a 4-hectare wooded park. \nPlease note that transportation will be provided in a van departing from Paris\, and lunch is included. \nLimited number of places. Please register before the 1st of June. \nMORE INFO

SUMMARY:PRIVATE VISIT YSL MUSEUM
DESCRIPTION:Private visit exclusively for our group before the museum opens \nExhibition “GOLD by Yves Saint Laurent”  \nGuide tour in English (duration 1:15h) \nSince 2017\, the museum dedicated to the great couturier of the 20th century has been located in the historic mansion where the works of Yves Saint Laurent were born. Decorator Jacques Grange designed the exhibition spaces. The museum positions itself as a witness to the History of the 20th century and a certain art of living. \nThe exhibition presents gold through some forty haute couture and ready-to-wear dresses\, selected accessories and objects\, as well as display cases filled with jewelery\, essential to the Yves Saint Laurent silhouette. \nWhether reflected in sun-filled memories of Oran and Marrakech\, or on display with objects collected by Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent or accessories designed by Loulou de La Falaise\, gold has always inspired the couturier’s oeuvre. \nYves Saint Laurent’s radiant character illuminates this chrono-thematic journey through a dazzling diversity of ornaments\, sumptuous fabrics and exquisite materials. \nTo complement the creations of Yves Saint Laurent\, the museum has invited the Belgian sculptor Johan Creten to exhibit five works that remind us of the extent to which gold has always inspired artists. \nREGISTER
